Timing is key: The best time to fertilize your lawn in autumn is when the grass is actively growing, usually mid-March to mid-April. Do not fertilise until 2 days after you have mown, and do not mow until 1 week after you fertilise.

Aeration: Aerating your lawn before fertilising helps the fertilizer reach the roots and promotes better absorption.

Follow the instructions: Be sure to follow the instructions on the fertiliser carefully, as applying too much can damage the lawn and lead to excessive growth, making it more susceptible to winter damage.
